Remembering 2008…

It’s been nearly 5 months since i last posted somehting at my blog…I have been busy with work and hardly found time to blog anything although i have lots of stuff to blog about…with that said, i shall now talk about 2008…The Year that will be remembered…

I started 2008 with a bang covering the new year celebration at 1 Utama…I was still doing my internship at The Star…January was a very fast month as always…Nevertheless it was an exciting month for me in my career wise…

In February, more interesting things happen…I covered the Thaipussam events at Batu Caves with my intern friend, Rosie…That was so much fun and also my first time doing a report on such a big occassion…As February progressed, more work experiences i gained…I also started my last semester in university…somthing i never thought would come so fast…

March was the big year…The Election coverage was the top in my resume…I was with the big shots…never in my life i thought i would be covering ministers on the day malaysia changed…Uni life started fantastic too…Amazing lecturers…And not to forget a full house for my first documentary film, The Journey…Becomig the vice president of Costa was another amazing year as i got to work with the nicest people i know…and my juniors were remarkable…they would work and listen to me…

April was the birthday month…My film, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Michael Learns to Touch were hits among my friends and juniors…it kinda made me believe that i can do things better too…And how can i forget the best birthday of my life…Never had so many chicks with me for my birthday…will never forget those lap dances…hehe…thanks guys!!!

May, the preparations month…Preparing for my finals and my trip to Cambodia…I was made head of technical team again…Another big responsibility for me…I had to train students to film and edit…imagine, from learner to trainer in a couple of months…

June and July, apart from the memorable trip to Cambodia, June and July were months to forget…Events that take place those months changed me into the person i am today…Im sorry to those whom i offended and hurt in those times…

August, I start my first day of work at The Star…it was like coming back home…and with good collegues, the working life seemed to be enjoyable…Had some wild clubbing and birthday nights too in this month…It was an amazing month…

September, Graduation…the big day…all my friends and family were present…the most emotional event for me…and work started to get hectic…also, met lots of new friends and interesting people…

October, kinda the quiet month…apart from friends birthdays, nothing else happen that month…

November, A crazy month…the month i work like dog…lost contact with some friends…fought with some friends…but it wasnt the last they saw of me…

December, met Clinton…woo hoo!!!…Christmas came and left…As of 31/12/2008, i have still got moneys in my bank…also the last month i smoke, drink and eat meat…

Hours away from new year….

Once again, sorry to all those i hurt and offended during the year…

Happy New Year…

Happy things come unexpected…

sometimes, the happiest moments i have in my day come when i least expect it…

and to make it better, it comes from people you least expect…

and this is why happy things come unexpected…

Frontpage…or is it gonna be backpage?

The new TV series which is a collaboration of NTV7 and Star will be aired this Sunday at 10pm, NTV7.

I was invited for the premiere yesterday at Pavillion GSC…Now, after watching the first episode, i must admit, Malaysian series are improving…However there were still some lacking issues in the show…

But before i go to the bad part, i must admit the first 15 minutes of the show kept me excited…It was good and i liked how the director used various camera technics for the opening…it was nice…the special effects has improved also…but what i liked most about the show was the soundtrack…they were able to have the right tune to match the scenes…and thats very important…also, the script is something very original…something which i would say isnt a copy of western or eastern tv shows…

now to the bad part, please please please dont use cheap jokes in the dialogue…it just doesnt match the conversation…and there are some dialogue which could have been improved…and the audio has to be improved as well…but apart from the technical gliches, the show was still good…

i give it a 7 out of 10…

Just rambling away…

I tell you, the last few days have been relly tiring…im sleeping by 11pm…something i have not done in ages…although the work pressure and gossip is slowly growing, one cannot forget that he or she has a social life as well…

I went to uni yesterday…had a decent chat with Dr.Helen on politics and Dr.Yeoh on videos…I shall be on campus this Friday as i am needed to finish what has yet to be finished…Luckily I’m on leave this Friday…

Met Kajon and Kim yesterday…they didnt seem busy but pretended to be busy…espeically kajon…he was very busy…hehehe….busy with facebook…hhahahaha…kajon, when u read this, i expect u to leave a comment on a new picture on facebook and not the same one!!

I cant wait for Friday, Im gonna finally meet up with my best friend whom i have not seen in almost 2 months…wow that is long…we got a lot of catching up to do…and gossiping as well…hahaha…

I am tempted to make a film in my office…A film about the people here…cos it is so hard to describe them that one will have to see them to understand them…

Having lost in the Futsal competition last Saturday was disasterous enough…It wasn’t my fault we lost 2-1, 3-0, 4-1 and eventually 5-1…The entire department was unfit…Also, we were playing against professionals…but i did get free jerseys…

Yesterday, i had an assignment at Mandarin Oriental…it was the launching of W1MAx, the newest and fastest internet connection technology…1.2g to 2.3g connection speed is amazing…lets see how good its gonna be…anyways, the food there was brilliant…all though it was just high tea, it was superb…not like last yaer’s Monash Ball at the same place where the food sucked…

From Politicians to Sports…

Thank God im not goin to Permatang Pauh…I would have beaten up like all the other journalists….Its very hard to say who is the main culprit but i think the truth will be released soon…

Im gonna sound real bias here but i think, i hope and i want Anwar to win the elections and be the next PM…what happens from there, happens la…

I was supposed to meet the PM today at Impiana Hotel in KLCC…he didnt come…and his replacement, another minister, also didnt come…In the end, it was just some Tan Sri…but, i did get a free lunch at the hotel…and i must admit, dun ever thnk of eating there…My mamak food is a million times better… Also the RM5 per hour parking rate isnt very convincing…

And in sports, well, a silver medal…i think thats good enough…Should the final be on neutral grounds, we would have won…Chung Wei was psyhically fit and strong but mentally, he was weak…Meanwhile his opponent was strong in both…well, there’s always London 2012…

another boring afternoon…working in the Star gives u busy mornings and late nights but the afternoons are always boring…

Today was another great recording session…

I never thought i would be taking pictures with Hannah Tan and filiming her as well…She isnt that pretty but she is hot…And not to forget the friendliness…hehe…

Also, i met the Singh…The football singh…Shebby Singh…his not that bad…friendly too…i was lucky enough to give him some opinions on what i think he should do whenever he broadcasts…although he is a spurs fan, he supports arsenal a lot…thats nice to know…

To add more surprise, my chief editor a.k.a big boss is an Arsenal Fan…cool right?

however, my department boss is MU fan…hmm…i feel a bit danger…

anyways, from now on, i need to save money so i can join the Arsenal Supporters club and go with them to catch Arsenal vs MU at Emirates in November…

hehe…

Tired…

Finally, work is getting loaded…Feeling the stress…but im loving it…

I start work early…From 6am to 1pm…Depending on assignments…

The afternoon and early evenings are normally free…

And back to work in the late evenings till late night…

By the time i get home, its just a few more hours left of the day…

Tiring job but it pays…

Yesterday,

I filmed a band perform live in the studio…I must say, it was a nice experience and also cos the lead singer was hot!!!…her dressing reminded me of someone…it was like seeing an Indian version of her…hahaha…

Today, i had free lunch at the Women and Development Minister’s office…nice food…
